Having enjoyed a week in Madeira in November 2024, we decided to revisit for a bit of November sun. Having opted to go somwhere warm for a week, we were surprised as the temperature in the UK was exceptionally high for November ..... 18 deg C. In 2024 we stayed at "Next to The Savoy", and whilst it was OK it was not a hotel that we particulalry wanted to revisit. This time we stayed at the Royal Savoy, just across the road from Next, but a much higher standard and nicer ambience. We made our bookings through Easyjet Holidays....... the simplest way to book the hotel, the flights and the transfers in one hit. We could not get the midday flights we wanted on a Saturday-to-Saturday holiday, so opted to go on a Wednesday. A good decision as it worked out, as we felt that the airport was much less busy. The flight there took around three and a half hours, and the return took two hours fifty five minutes due to tail winds.
